Gurucool Book of the Year Awards 2025: A Grand Celebration of India’s Finest Authors and Literature

July 27, 2025, was one of those. The Gurucool Book of the Year Awards made its return for a second edition, right in the heart of Hyderabad. It wasn’t just an event; it was a celebration of words, voices, and the indelible power of stories.

In a time defined by quick scrolls and flowing attention, this evening felt like a deep, calming breath which is a rare pause to truly listen, feel, and remember why stories matter.

Organized by Gurucool Publishing, the awards this year honored 63 authors, each of them a story into themselves, each carrying the fire of ideas, narratives, and emotions that deserve to be read and remembered.

Here's the full list of those whose stories lit up the event.

The Future is Play

But it wasn’t just about the awards or trophies.

The first half of the day was overflowing with emotions. From far off corners all the authors came with steady anticipation, and as each name was called, it felt less like a formal award show and more like a homecoming. When their names were called and the limelight touched them, it felt like the whole room finally saw who they really were. The moment was theirs, and no algorithm could replicate its pulse.

The day wrapped up with a closing speech, and with shared coffee and books being signed with trembling hands. Friendships were formed. When it all ended, what stayed wasn’t the noise, it was something warm, like a beginning.

The man behind the vision, Dr. Vineet Gera, once again proved why Gurucool Publishing is not just a publishing house, but a movement. Without pomp or pretense, he walked the aisles, spoke with debut authors like they were old friends, and listened more than he spoke. It's rare in publishing. And it’s why this event matters.

This wasn’t just another award function. It was a gathering of souls who believe that words still have weight, and books are still alive.

The night ended, but a lot stayed. The books, the voices behind them, and the feeling that words when true are always so powerful alone.

This wasn’t just an event, it was a memory in the making.
